DeLozier has been a fine player, is a former club professional, has served as a general manager of resorts and clubs, has managed a publicly traded portfolio of golf assets and, now, is a partner in one
of the largest golf advisory firms in the world called Global Golf Advisors.
DeLozier has been recognized by GolfInc magazine as one of the "Most Influential People in Golf" for nine consecutive years. He serves as an expert source for Business Week, CNBC-Squawk Box, the Financial Times of London, GOLF magazine, Golf Digest, Golf Business, GolfInc magazine, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post.
LEIGH BADER
CEO, 3balls.com; Committee Member, Alliance of Massachusetts Golf Organizations (AMGO)Leigh Bader has more than 30 years of experience as a golf course owner/operator, PGA golf professional, and co-owner of the multi award winning, Joe & Leigh’s Discount Golf Pro Shop. As a graduate of University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Leigh began his career in the golf industry as a General Manager for Easton Country Club, an 18-hole semi-private golf facility. Soon after, Leigh embarked on the entrepreneurial pursuit of running his own business and began Joe & Leigh’s at the Pine Oaks Golf Course in 1981 with partner Joe Ricci.
Included in his impressive list of accomplishments is being ranked the third most powerful retailer in the United States and twice being named the PGA Merchandiser of the Year. In addition, Joe & Leigh’s Discount Golf Pro Shop has been recognized as one of America’s top 100 golf shops a total of 17 times since 1987.
Since its inception in 2000, Bader has been a member of the Alliance of Massachusetts Golf Organizations (AMGO) which aims to protect and grow the game of golf in the state of Massachusetts. The organization was responsible for developing the Massachusetts Economic Impact Study. Leigh also serves on the Executive Committee of Golf 20/20, a collaborative effort of allied organizations focused on the future of the golf industry and directed by the World Golf Foundation.

Jim Skorulski
Northeast Region Senior Agronomist, United States Golf Association
Skorulski joined the USGA Green Section staff as an Agronomist in the Northeastern Region in April 1989. Since then, he has made more than 1,500 Turf Advisory Service visits in New Jersey, New York, New England and Canada. He has authored articles for the Green Section Record and other industry publications. He has also actively participated in USGA Regional Meetings and has made numerous presentations nationally and abroad at turf-related functions, conferences and seminars.
Dr. Nathaniel Mitkowski
Associate Professor of Plant Pathology, University of Rhode Island
Dr. Mitkowski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Plant
Sciences at the University of Rhode Island. His research focuses
primarily on stress related diseases of golf turf: specifically
nematodes, bacterial wilt and anthracnose. He teaches Diseases of
Turf and Ornamentals, Advanced Turf Management and Power Units. Dr.
Mitkowski also runs the URI Turfgrass Disease Diagnostic laboratory
which receives samples from across North America. He earned his
Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Cornell University and has a BS in
Plant Pathology from the University of Massachusetts.
Duane LeVangie
Program Chief of the Mass DEP Water Management Program
Duane LeVangie serves as the Program Chief for the Water Management Program at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection in the Bureau of Resource Protection’s Drinking Water Program. Mr. LeVangie has been employed by MassDEP since December 1990, progressing from Regional Planner, to Acting Program Manager and eventually to Program Chief in March 1999. He has a B.S. in Geography from Salem State College with a concentration in Urban/Economic Geography.
Susanne R. Wegrzyn
President & CEO, National Club Association
Sue Wegrzyn is the President & CEO of the National
Club Association, the national trade association
representing private clubs throughout the U.S. Sue
has over 30 years of experience working with national
trade and professional associations, focusing on
general management issues, marketing, strategic
planning and membership development.
She has authored articles and addressed numerous
organizations on a variety of club management and
governance issues and currently represents private
clubs on the Board of Governors of the National Golf
Foundation and the Executive Board of Golf 20/20, a collaborative effort of allied
organizations focused on the future of the golf industry. She is an active
member of the University Club of Washington, D.C., where she has served on
the Board of Governors for six years, this past year served as the President of
the Board of Governors, and currently is Chair of the Executive Committee.
Jim Fitzroy
President, Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA)
Jim Fitzroy was elected as the 74th president of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America in February. Fitzroy is known locally for his service as the Director/Superintendent at Wollaston Recreational Facility/Presidents Golf Club. The 62 year old has been at Presidents Golf Course since 1975. Previously, he was superintendent at Pleasant Valley Country Club and Cazenovia (N.Y.) Country Club. In 1967, he earned an associate's degree in turf management from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and a bachelor's degree in park administration from Massachusetts in 1970.
Fitzroy is a member and past president of the GCSA of New England and also holds membership in the Golf Course Managers Association of Cape Cod and Rhode Island GCSA and serves as secretary for The Environmental Institute for Golf (the philanthropic organization of the GCSAA) Board of Trustees. He is a former member of the MGA's Executive Committee and currently works as part of the MGA's course rating team.
Judy Stout
Northeast Regional Director, The First Tee
As Northeast Regional Director, Judy Stout is responsible for overseeing The First Tee National School Program which trains physical educators to introduce children to the game of golf and The First Tee Nine Core Values ™ during regular physical education classes. With more than 3,400 participating elementary schools and support from the PGA TOUR and a growing number of tournaments and other sponsors, the National School Program has established an impressive number of golf industry partnerships that encourage students to pursue their interest in golf and adopt its values beyond the classroom.
Currently, over 100 Chapters of The First Tee are maximizing their outreach efforts through the National School Program. Above and beyond their Life Skills programs, collectively this group of Chapters is realizing an extended reach to more than one million elementary students in over 150 school districts across the country.
